Laboratory Ball Mills
A laboratory ball mill is an essential lab device for rapid pulverizing, milling, or grinding and mixing of a large variety of materials. The samples can be soft, elastic, fibrous, hard, or brittle.
LABAIDS Laboratory Ball Mill has a Stainless-Steel jar made of SS 304. Aluminum jars are also available on request. The jar can be easily removed, and its lid is easily opened for filling or cleaning by loosening the screws. The sample material to be ground is put in the jar which is the rotated at a specific speed by using a specific quantity of grinding media (i.e. steel balls) for a specific period.
The machine is supplied with steel grinding balls of different sizes, which may vary from 12.5mm to 40mm. The ball mills up to 2Kg capacity are fitted with a heavy-duty DC motor whereas the bigger capacity ball mills are fitted with heavy-duty AC motors. The speed of rotation can be varied up to a maximum of 80 RPM using the speed control knob. A digital RPM indicator and timer can also be provided on request.
